Purdue vs Indiana Odds: Line, Spread, Over/Under

The #4 Purdue Boilermakers travel to Assembly Hall to take on the Indiana Hoosiers tonight at 7:00 PM EST. WynnBET makes the Boilermakers 3.5-point favorites and -170 on the moneyline ($17 to win $10) while the Hoosiers are +145 ($10 to win $14.5). The over/under is 140.5.

Purdue vs Indiana Prediction Tonight

Led by star guard Jaden Ivey, the Boilermakers are 15-2 behind one of the best offenses in college basketball. They can score from anywhere on the court, ranking 8th nationally in 2-point shooting and 5th in 3-point shooting, per Bart Torvik.

Indiana, however, has the defense that can challenge Purdue. They possess the 3rd-best effective field goal percentage defense in the country. With Trayce Jackson-Davis and his 2.9 blocks per game at the helm, they force offenses into tough shots and don’t give up many second-chance points (31st nationally in defensive rebounding rate).

The Hoosiers are especially fierce at home, where they boast one of the loudest crowds in America and are a perfect 11-0 this season.

Purdue has struggled a bit of late after their dominant start, going just 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 games. Against an Indiana team seeking a signature win, the Boilermakers are in for a dogfight.

As I wrote here, stylistically Purdue will look to slow the game down and take the crowd out of the equation. They’ll want to generate quality shots against this tough Indiana defense and prevent turnovers.

I expect this to be a battle that comes down to the wire. Indiana is a live dog in this game. After all, it’s the first time they’re an underdog at Assembly Hall since February of last year. Given the importance of this game and the styles they’ll play, I love the under 140.5 but will also be playing Indiana +3.5. Even if Purdue pulls out the win, it will be a close one.
