With the 7th-best 2-point shooting percentage and 2nd-best 3-point percentage, they’ll score at will against this Gophers’ defense.
Even if Purdue misses shots, they’ll gobble up rebounds and give themselves second-chance points. The Boilermakers are 6th in offensive rebounding rate and 24th in defensive while the Gophers are 354th and 203rd, respectively. Purdue has scored at least 80 points in five of their last six and I expect them to make it six of seven.
I’m thrilled to take the over 140 (-110) but I also like Purdue -10.5 (-110). The Gophers are just 1-7 against the spread in their last eight home games and Purdue’s rebounding advantage should allow them enough opportunities to blow the game open even if they aren’t hitting shots.
