The New England Patriots defense did their part on Sunday, limiting the Oakland Raiders to 241 total yards and nine points on three field goals. But just like the Green Bay Packers, the Patriots offense was still out-of-sync except they walked away with a 16-9 victory.

Rob Ninkovich has now played well in two straight games after being bench for most of the opener. He finished with six tackles and a hit on the quarterback, while disrupting the backfield the entire game. While the Patriots didn’t record a sack on quarterback Derek Carr, they did get an interception from an unlikely source.

You have to imagine Ninkovich is thanking the Football Gods for not allowing Vince Wilfork to fall on him.

After three games Ninkovich has 14 tackles and a sack. The Patriots will get an extra day of rest this week as they travel to play the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night.
