2013 RB Keyante Green Commits to Purdue
You know those situations where you hate when someone else does something but when it happens in your favor you love it? This is one of those situations. Class of 2013 running back Keyante Green has decommitted from UCLA and committed to Purdue according to Rivals.com and his own Twitter.
Seems Purdue is usually on the other side of these situations; most recently Roy Roundtree and Russell Bellomy(both to Michigan football) and Derek Willis to Kentucky basketball. Not so bad when it favors Purdue though. Like they say, nothing is official until the letter of intent is signed. As college recruiting becomes more and more cut-throat, the more I find myself fine with this practice.
The 5’9″ 190lb Green plays at Eagle’s Landing Christian in McDonough, Georgia. Green is a much needed commit for the Boilers. When Akeem Shavers and Ralph Bolden graduate after this year, Purdue becomes even more thing at running back than they are currently. Akeem Hunt is the only one who will be returning with significant playing time; assuming Danny Anthrop doesn’t blow up in his freshman year and Rob Henry doesn’t have an official position change. Will probably even see full back Brandon Cottom line up at running back.
Top schools that have offered Green: Boston College, Florida St, Georgia, Ohio St, South Carolina, TCU, Virginia Tech, UCLA
