Purdue Baseball’s Doug Schreiber Finalist For Coach of the Year

Purdue baseball coach Doug Schreiber is a finalist for College Baseball Insider’s National Coach of the Year award following Purdue baseball’s exciting season. The skipper led the team to a team-record 45 victories, including Big Ten titles in both the regular season and the Big Ten Tournament.
Other finalists for the award are: Arizona’s Andy Lopez, Baylor’s Steve Smith, Florida State’s Mike Martin, Kent State’s Scott Stricklin, South Carolina’s Ray Tanner and Stony Brook’s Matt Senk. All seven managers led their teams to the NCAA Tournament as part of historic seasons.
The winner of the award will be announced Thursday.
