The Boiling Point: Purdue senior kicker Carson Wiggs earns Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week honor.
The man at the center of Purdue’s 33-25 win against Indiana didn’t get overlooked by the Big Ten on Monday. Purdue senior kicker Carson Wiggs picked up the league’s Special Teams Player of the Week award after going a perfect 7-for-7 on kicks against the Hoosiers. He was good on field goal attempts from 48, 43, 29 and 22 yards.
The win helped Purdue bring the Old Oaken Bucket back to West Lafayette and made the Boilers bowl eligible.
