Predictions

Scott: There has been plenty of bulletin board material for Purdue supplied by the media and Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly. Before the season I would have predicted Purdue to lose. After the first couple weeks though, I haven’t been that impressed by ND. No question they have talent, but like teams of old they don’t put it together. Biggest match-up is going to be Ricardo Allen on Michael Floyd, but Purdue can’t sleep on Tyler Efiert, ND’s tight end. The players seem hyped up for this game and are out to prove a ton of people wrong. I see the Boilers pulling out a win in what is sure to be an electric atmosphere. Purdue 21- Notre Dame 18

Zach: As I said on the podcast, there is nothing in the world that could make me pick against Purdue in this game. I don’t care if the whole team comes down with the flu and Keanu Reeves has to lead a team of replacements out there, I’ll still pick against Notre Dame. Word on the street is my fantasy football league’s draft order for next year may be decided by picking the score of this game, and I’ll still not pick against Purdue. Purdue 35-Notre Dame 34

Leroy: I want Purdue to be able to compete in this prime-time game on national TV so badly. But I just don’t see it happening. Sure, Notre Dame hasn’t been great, but Purdue barely beat some bad teams and the Irish have been facing better competition. For me, the Boilers are going to be done in by a combination of defensive and offensive mistakes. Simply put, Notre Dame has more athletes on both sides of the ball. I really hope I’m wrong. Notre Dame 31, Purdue 10
