Rob Henry Has ACL Surgery
By Zach Langdon
The Boiling Point: Rob Henry underwent ACL surgery today in Florida, with Dr. James Andrews doing the operation.
Purdue quarterback Rob Henry, who was projected to start at quarterback for the Boilers this season, underwent ACL surgery today in Florida. Dr. James Andrews, senior orthopedic consultant for the Washington Redskins and head of the Tampa Bay Ray’s medical director, performed the surgery in the quarterback’s home state.
The surgery was not done by Purdue’s orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Donald Shelbourne, however he did consult on the operation and will oversee Henry’s rehab.
The unanswered question here is how Henry, a student-athlete, managed to have this surgery done in Florida on a Tuesday in the middle of the semester.
