The Boiling Point: Purdue adds another lineman to 2012 class.
Purdue added another 2012 football player to its recruiting class this weekend. Along with Pike quarterback Aloyis Gray, one of the top junior college linemen, Devin Smith, pledged to Purdue, too.
Smith, who’s 6-foot-7, 315 pounds, took an official visit to West Lafayette this weekend and was convinced it was for him. He was also offered by Kansas, Eastern Michigan, Middle Tennessee and Toledo. He’s currently at Arizona Western Community College and is originally from Detroit.
Smith is one of several linemen in the class as it’s a glaring need for the Boilers. The class now stands at 15 players total.
