Men’s Basketball Adds Player for 2011/1012 Class

The Boiling Point: Neal Beshears joins mens basketball team.

According to a report from the Indianapolis Star, Neal Beshears has joined the mens basketball team starting this upcoming season. There was talk of Beshears earlier this summer about him walking onto the team. Now it looks to be official. He assumed to be a preferred walk-on(a player a school invites to be on the team without having to go through tryout process).

Beashears is a 6’6″ wing hailing from Winchester, IN. He spent last year at Maine Central Institute prep school. He averaged 5.7 point a game for them. He had some interest from smaller Division I schools but ultimately decided to walk-on.
