Ricardo Allen Picks Up ESPN Mention

The Boiling Point: Purdue corner picks up preseason nod.
Purdue’s standout cornerback Ricardo Allen didn’t get any love on the preseason players to watch list that was released by the Big Ten a couple weeks back, but ESPN recognized him. ESPN.com’s two Big Ten bloggers put together their preseason all-Big Ten team and Allen made the cut.
Allen, who led the Boilers with three interceptions last season, was the only Boiler on the team. Michigan State and Wisconsin led the league with five selections each. Northwester, Iowa and Minnesota were the other three schools with just one selection. Indiana didn’t have one.
