McBurse To Florida A&M

The Boiling Point: Former Purdue running back Al-Terek McBurse is now playing at Florida A&M after announcing his intention to transfer in the Spring.

Al-Terek McBurse, the most highly-touted recruit in Danny Hope’s first class, is now playing at Florida A&M after transferring following the spring semester. According to the Tallahassee Democrat, McBurse is now lined up at slot receiver after playing running back at Purdue.

"“It’s a blessing for me to be here right now because it was coming down to the last minute and nobody was giving me a scholarship or wanted me as a preferred walk-on,” he said. “Hopefully I can make the most of this,” McBurse told the paper about his new opportunity."

McBurse is currently practicing with the second team at Florida A&M, but coach Joe Taylor said he expects the newcomer will see the field often.
