The Boiling Point: Purdue draws tough challenge in defending national champs for challenge.
The pairings for the 2011 women’s basketball Big 12/Big Ten Challenge were released on Thursday and Purdue drew defending national champion, Texas A&M.
The Boilers went 21-12 and got knocked out of the NCAA Tournament by Connecticut in the second round. The Aggies finished the season 33-5 and were the last team standing.

Last year, the Big Ten won the challenge 7-5. The majority of the 2011 challenge games will be played on Dec. 3 and 4, including Purdue’s game.
