2013 Rivals Player Rankings Released

The Boiling Point: Rivals has released their 2013 rankings for basketball recruits

Today Rivals.com released their rankings of the top 100 players in the 2013 recruiting class. Out of Purdue’s 4 recruits Derek Willis was 32, Kendall Stephens was 38, Bryson Scott was 45, and Basil Smotherman was unranked.

Derek Willis was barely even heard of until a month ago, and debuted at 32. He has the potential to move up even higher if one viewing by Rivals at an AAU tournament results in that ranking. Same can be said for Stephens since he has been hampered by a foot injury. Smotherman didn’t have the most impressive summer, but he has the potential to move up as well.

When 2013 comes along, and final rankings for them are done, look for this to be a blockbuster class, maybe the best Purdue has ever had.
