Men’s Basketball Finishes 17th in Attendance

The Boiling Point: Purdue’s mens basketball team finished 17th in the country in attendance

Numbers detailing total attendance and average attendance have been released. Purdue finished 17th in the country in total attendance with 222,659 and average attendance of 13,916. The average attendance is what the rankings are based on. Purdue finished 23rd in the country for attendance for all games (home, road, neutral).

The Big Ten finished first in total attendance at 2,475,440 and average of 12,826 which is up 235 from last year. However they had one of the lowest attendance figures for big conference tourneys at 17,353. After being at the tourney, I don’t even know if it was actually that much, but it is based off paid attendance. 7 Big Ten teams finished in the top 25 for attendance with Wisconsin being ranked the highest at 7th.
