The Boiling Point: Paul Lusk has been named head coach of the Missouri State Bears.

Former Purdue associate head coach, Paul Lusk, has been named head coach at Missouri State. He follows former Boilermaker Cuonzo Martin who took the head coaching job at Tennessee earlier this week. Lusk holds a masters degree from Missouri State so he knows the school and surrounding area well.

Lusk played basketball at Southern Illinois after transferring from Iowa. He coached along side Purdue head coach Matt Painter at SIU before following him to Purdue. Lusk has been a highly sought after potential head coach since the season ended. He has been linked to head coaching jobs at Bradley, Northern Illinois, and Dayton. If Painter had left for Missouri, Lusk would have been one of the top candidates to replace him at Purdue.
