The Boiling Point: Purdue big man JaJuan Johnson earns AP All-America honors.

With his playing days at Purdue behind him, JaJuan Johnson was named to the AP’s All-America team on Monday. Along with Johnson, BYU’s Jimmer Fredette, Duke’s Nolan Smith, Ohio State’s Jared Sullinger and Connecticut’s Kemba Walker were also on the team. Fredette and Smith were the leading vote-getters.

Johnson was the Big Ten Player of the Year and averaged 20.5 points and 8.6 rebounds a game in his final season at Purdue. This is just one of a handful of national awards for Johnson.

He is expected to be a mid first-round pick in the NBA Draft.
