Kelsey Barlow Suspended For Remainder Of Season

The Boiling Point: Purdue sophomore guard Kelsey Barlow has been suspended for the remainder of the season because of conduct detrimental to the team.
Update (7:32 p.m.): According to the Tippecanoe and Marion County Sheriff’s Departments, Kelsey Barlow is not in their system for being arrested.
If losing its final two games of the season wasn’t enough, Purdue will now be without one of its guards who provides the Boilers with quality depth. Sophomore Kelsey Barlow will not play in the NCAA Tournament after being suspended for the remainder of the season on Tuesday.
We’re committed to helping our players develop both on and off the court,” Purdue coach Matt Painter said in a statement. “This is unfortunate and disappointing, but we’ll move forward as a team.”
Barlow’s been a great player off the bench for the Boilers, especially giving Purdue more size at the guard spot instead of Lewis Jackson. Barlow’s averaged 5.1 points, 2.9 rebounds and 19.5 minutes a game this season.
No. 3 seed Purdue faces No. 14 St. Peter’s at 7:20 EST on Friday in Chicago in the NCAA Tournament.
