Johnson Named First-Team All-American

The Boiling Point: Purdue senior JaJuan Johnson was named a first-team All-American by the United States Basketball Writers of American on Monday.

The honors for Purdue’s JaJuan Johnson keep rolling in. On Monday, the big man was named a first-team selection by the United States Basketball Writers of America. He also earned the Big Ten’s Player of the Year award and the Defensive Player of the Year honor, along with several other All-America nods.

Johnson became the first Purdue player since 1994 to lead the conference in scoring for the entire season and league games. He also led the Boilers in rebounding and the league in shot blocking.
