The Boiling Point: The Purdue baseball team moved to 9-2 after winning at No. 20 Louisville Tuesday.

The Purdue baseball team recorded its second upset of a top-20 team this season Tuesday, beating No. 20 Louisville 6-4 to move to 9-2 overall.

Joe Haase went 8 2/3 innings for the Boilers to give them their third victory over a ranked Big East team this season. It was Purdue’s sixth straight win. Purdue has now scored the first run in every game it’s played this season and is keeping pace with the 1993 team for the best start to a season in program history.

Louisville had won 11 in a row against Big Ten teams, dating back to 2009, and were 23-2 against the Big Ten since 2003.
