Matt Painter Makes It A Complete Sweep

The Boiling Point: Purdue coach Matt Painter won the Big Ten’s Coach of the Year award on Monday.
After Purdue big man JaJuan Johnson took home one of the conference’s top honors for players, Matt Painter followed suit for coaches. Painter was selected as the league’s top coach by both the coaches and media.
A big reason why Painter won the award was the Boilers finishing in second place in the Big Ten after losing the services of Robbie Hummel before the season began. Even without Hummel, Painter and the Boilers were in the conference race through the final weekend of the regular season.
