Jay Bilas Makes Non-Purdue Big Ten Award Picks
By Zach Langdon
The Boiling Point: ESPN analyst Jay Bilas picked Wisconsin’s Jordan Taylor and OSU’s Thad Matta as his Big Ten Player and Coach of the Year.
I really like Jay Bilas’ twitter. Today, however, he went from being funny to just being…odd. He tweeted that he would vote for Wisconsin’s Jordan Taylor as Big Ten Player of the Year. Not JaJuan Johnson, not Jared Sullinger, but Jordan Taylor.
Taylor’s Badgers are a game behind Purdue for second place in the Big Ten. OSU is a game ahead of Purdue.
Bilas also said he’d pick Thad Matta, Ohio State’s coach, as Big Ten Coach Of The Year. This vote I wouldn’t have as big of a problem with if OSU wins the league outright. That said, I don’t see how Matt Painter doesn’t win this, simply because of people lowering their expectation’s after Hummel got hurt.
Who would you vote Player and Coach of the Year?
