Two Boilers Make Women’s Third Team All-Big Ten

The Boiling Point: Purdue’s Brittany Rayburn and Drey Mingo, above, earned third-team All-Big Ten honors from the league’s coaches today.
The Big Ten announced its All-Big Ten women’s teams on Monday and Purdue got two players on the coaches third team. Both Brittany Rayburn and Drey Mingo earned the honor. Also, freshman Courtney Moses made the all-freshman team.
The first team as voted on by the coaches was made up of Iowa’s Kachine Alexander, Michigan State’s Kalisha Keane, Ohio State’s Jantel Lavender, Northwestern’s Amy Jaeschke and Penn State’s Alex Bentley. Keane and Lavender were unanimous selections for the coaches, but split the Big Ten Player of the Year honors, as the coaches voted Keane and the media dubbed Lavender.
Rayburn made the media’s third team, while Mingo and Moses were honorable mention selections.
