JaJuan Johnson Is Big Ten Player Of The Week
By Zach Langdon
The Boiling Point: JaJuan Johnson won his first Big Ten Player of the Week award of the season on Monday.
Apparently getting a double-double in the first half at Michigan State and getting screwed out of a triple-doubled by an inadequate stats team (only seven blocks?!) is enough to earn you Big Ten Player of the Week.
JaJuan Johnson was given the honor today, just one week after teammate E’Twaun Moore earned it. It is the first Big Ten POTW award of the season for JJ and the third of his career. He earned it for a 20 point, 17 rebound, 7 block performance yesterday when Purdue beat Michigan State by 20 and a 20 point, 9 rebound performance in Purdue’s win over Indiana.
