MSU Preview From MSU Perspective

The Boiling Point: According to Michigan State’s student newspaper, Purdue has a slight advantage in this weekend’s game based on five categories of the game.
Michigan State’s student newspaper, The State News, rolled out its preview for this weekend’s game with Purdue and has the Boilers with a slight edge. Of the five categories broken down, Purdue was given the advantage in the backcourt and intangibles while MSU took the frontcourt and coaching categories. The two split the bench factor.
I’m obviously a bit biased, but I think Purdue should have won all five categories at this stage in the game. For instance, here’s what it said about coaching.
"After losing star Robbie Hummel before the season even began, Purdue head coach Matt Painter can’t be given enough credit with what he has done with his team this season. For MSU, Izzo finally seems to have found a rotation he likes. Almost everyone plays, and they all contribute. The Spartans are as coachable as ever, and when Izzo gets his way, it bodes well for MSU."
So, wait. Painter can’t get enough credit for having his Hummel-less team ranked in the Top 10 and second in the league, but Izzo has his Final Four team from last year on the edge of dancing and MSU gets the edge? Huh? That doesn’t make sense.
