The Boiling Point: After two quality performances against two Top 10 teams in the past week, E’Twaun Moore was named Big Ten Player of the Week.
It might have been one of the most obvious choices of the year for the Big Ten, but the league tabbed Purdue’s E’Twuan Moore as the Player of the Week on Monday. It comes after averaging 28.5 points in a pair of wins against Top 10 teams, Wisconsin and Ohio State. It’s the third time Moore’s gotten the honor and second this year.
On Sunday, Moore turned in one of the best single-game performances for a Boiler in a loonnnnggg time as he finished with a career-high 38 points on 13-of-18 shooting, including 7-of-10 from 3. He also had five assists and four rebounds, while displaying some of the best defensive skills in the conference, too.
Earlier in the week against Wisconsin, Moore finished with 19 points on 8-of-19 shooting, including 3-of-7 from 3.
Both outings led to him becoming just the fifth player in Purdue history to eclipse the 2,000-point mark. He’s also just one of four players in league history with 2,000 points, 500 rebounds and 350 assists in a career. Boy, are we going to miss Moore.
