Crean Goes Crazy On Twitter

The Boiling Point: Indiana “coach” Tom Crean went off on Twitter for an hour today.

For about an hour today Indiana “coach” Thomas Crean tweeted like crazy about a future game getting moved for TV purposes. After the change, Indiana will only have a 36hour turnaround its games vs Wisconsin on March 3 and at Illinois on March 5.

"@Tom Crean: Now back to reality. Wow is Purdue playing well. We need all 17000 plus helping us to guard them. They are as explosive as any team around.@Tom Crean: Come on out Ashton. Where are the cameras? This isnt funny . U got me. We have been punked. @Tom Crean: I am okay with 1 day in between games on occasion but 36 hours? In a rivalry game? That defies rationalization.@Tom Crean: I feel like we should jump in some vans, put the 8 track tapes in, get some cheese sandwiches and have a old school road trip.@Tom Crean: There is no way that could be true is it? What was the 8 a.m. slot taken? @Tom Crean: I heard the Big Ten network is moving us to play at Illinois after we play Wisconsin at 9 o clock Thursday at 11 on Saturday. IN THE MORNING@Tom Crean: I just heard the craziest thing. It must be Ashton Kutcher and his PUNKED show or a April Fools joke a few weeks early."

Now, a couple issues with this. First of all Thomas, Northwestern did this……and beat you. Second, what are you going to do when it is time for the B1G Tourney? Not planning on making it past one game? And finally, when you say back to reality you shouldn’t lie about that. You’ve never been a part of this reality.

I’d be embarrassed to see my team’s D1 coach do anything like this. It just adds to the circus. Coach Painter doesn’t allow his players to tweet during the season and from it looks like, he doesn’t either. I think IU should enact the same thing with Crean so he can’t embarrass himself and the program already more than it has….forever….in life.
