The Boiling Point: Former Purdue receiver Taylor Stubblefield has taken a job as the receivers coach at Central Michigan.

Taylor Stubblefield, who left Purdue leading the NCAA in career receptions in 2004, has been hired as the receivers coach at Central Michigan. Stubblefield was in the same position under former Purdue defensive coordinator Brock Spack at Illinois State.

"“Taylor is a very high character person who will be a huge asset to our program and our young receiving corps,” Enos said. “As a player he was a technician, which is why he was an All-American then and is a great coach now.”"

Many fans assumed Stubblefield was a candidate for Purdue’s recent  opening at the same position, but coach Danny Hope hired Patrick Higgins.
