The Boiling Point: CollegeFootballNews.com ranked Purdue No. 5 in the Big Ten in its “Pre-Spring Preview” of the league.

Spring football hasn’t even started and already Danny Hope’s squad is being analyzed  for the upcoming fall.

CollegeFootballNews.com released their 2011 Pre-Spring Preview of the Big Ten and predicted the Boilers to finish No. 5 in the Leaders division, one spot above Indiana (in other words, take this with a grain of salt).  The article points out the Boilers were a preseason No. 49 in the nation on their projection, but finished No. 79.

"“Is this the year Purdue finally catches a break? After seemingly every star offensive player getting hurt, now there’s experience returning with QB Rob Henry being thrown to the first over the second half of last year working behind a line that gets four starters back. All-America DE Ryan Kerrigan is gone off the defensive front, but nine starters are back including the entire secondary and a group of tackles that were way too young last year, but are big and promising coming into this season.”"
