Should Wisconsin Students Have Stormed The Court?

The Boiling Point: Given Wisconsin’s ranking and ridiculous success at home was the student rush after beating No. 1 Ohio State deserved?

Earlier today, a good friend of mine asked what I thought about the students at Wisconsin rushing the floor after topping No. 1 Ohio State. The Badgers are ranked No. 13 and have created one of the best home floors in the country. Here’s video from the celebration.

I say the students had no choice. If you beat the No. 1 team in the country, you HAVE to rush. I don’t care who the opposition is or what team you are or what your ranking is. If you beat No. 1, storm away. Topping the top-ranked team in the country isn’t something that happens often, so you must celebrate with a rush.

For the record, he disagreed with me. He thought Wisconsin should have expected to win that game because the few losses it suffers at home in the conference, so they shouldn’t have rushed.
