Report: Assistant’s Suspension Result Of Feb. 3 Arrest

The Boiling Point: A Lafayette newspaper is reporting Purdue assistant coach Mike Jackson was arrested Feb. 3 on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and in a reckless manner.
Last night reports of an announcement came that Purdue assistant basketball coach Mike Jackson, in his first year with the team, has been suspended indefinitely due to what the reports called “an alcohol-related incident.”
Today, the Lafayette Journal & Courier is reporting that “incident” was a Feb. 3 arrest for suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and in a reckless manner.
"“According to Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Dept. records, Jackson was arrested at 11:48 p.m. last Thursday. As of Wednesday, charges have not been filed against Jackson.”"
The most recent report said the Purdue athletic department is still gathering information on the matter.
